About this Event

100+ Year Old History

Erected in 1910, the Everett Building remains as one of the last original facades, in downtown Longview, from and era long ago. Starting as Citizen's National Bank, they closed their doors in 1924. Even though the building changed several hands over the years, it wasn't until 1979 when the building was donated to the Gregg County Historical Foundation and became home to the Museum, with the same name.

The Gregg County Historical Museum is home to thousands of artifacts from the cotton era, oil boom, military moments, and even it's very own log cabin in the basement.

The street out front was the scene for a bloody gunfight on May 23, 1894, when the reformed Dalton Gang made one of their last robberies in Longview, Texas. Memorabilia and guns from this wild west moment is located inside the, still standing, bank vault of the Gregg County Historical Museum.

Paranormal Findings

Not many investigations have been done on this building. We've witnessed firsthand just how desperate the spirits within are willing to talk. Footsteps, taps, and knocks have been heard throughout the building on all three levels. Disembodied voices have been captured, and equipment spikes have been documented throughout the building. Feelings of uneasiness, sick to the stomach, and not being alone have been felt on the main floor and in the basement. Poltergeist activity have also been captured on film of a door opening and closing on its own accord.

FAQ

What can I expect?

A fun and exciting night of paranormal investigating, just as seen in most the popular shows on TV. You will have use of our paranormal equipment at the beginning of the night, while you are being shown techniques and how to use it, from our group of experienced paranormal investigators. Feel free to bring along any of your own equipment. We will have breaks periodically throughout the night. A light jacket could be considered depending on the time of year, as some areas in the locations can get rather cold.

We do not play tricks and are not out to convince anyone of the "afterlife". Please know that you will be among others who may or may not think the same as you, but are all out to seek confirmation of "the other side". We never make a guarantee that the spirit world will make itself known on our investigations, but we can guarantee that we will have fun trying!

Can I sleep at the event?

Unless otherwise stated, events do NOT include a sleepover.

Is there any age limit of who can attend.

The age limit is 18 years and older.

Will I receive a ticket?

We are a ticketless event. Booking confirmation or mobile tickets, with a photo ID, are enough for entry. You will receive an email for further instructions in the prior days leading up to the event.

Will I see a ghost?

Unfortunately, we are unable to guarantee such a sighting. However with the use of specialty equipment, as well as the knowledge of our investigators, we will do everything we can to offer the best chance of paranormal activity.
