Greg Byng is a Solo performer based in Long Beach just North of Batemans Bay. After moving to the South Coast from Wagga Wagga three years ago Greg has established himself as a regular entertainer on the circuit in the area.
Greg regularly performs at South Coast Clubs including Catalina Country Club, Mollymook Golf Club, Club Malua and Narooma Golf Club. He also has been performing at other local venues including Broulee Brewhouse, Grumpy & Sweethearts and The Adelaide Hotel.
Previous to moving to the South Coast Greg played all around central NSW in various duo and band lineups including Business as Usual, Carly & Me, Outta the Blue, Rhythm Express, Greg & Montana and popular duo Retro Rats.
Greg plays a wide range of material from 70’s thru to some modern tunes including songs from bands like the Eagles, John Cougar, Eddie and the cruisers and original tunes and can perform acoustically with an acoustic guitar or with backing tracks and electric guitar for a fuller sound.
Occasionally Greg also teams up with other great players including Peter Forsyth who was the lead guitarist with Canberra outfit Big Boss Groove.
Over the years Greg has written and recorded some original tunes which have had some air play including “Some Kind of Somethin” which was recorded remotely while on Covid Lockdown and features some A List players including Mik McCartin, Brendan Radford, Vaughan Jones who play with some great Australian Country Performers including Troy Cassar Daley and well respected Alt Country band “The Flood”.
