Exploring Feelings Through the Art of Greeting Cards

Join us for a unique art experience where greeting cards become your canvas for expressing feelings through words and images. Using this simple yet powerful vehicle, you’ll combine words and images to communicate feelings, tell stories, and create a personal message of self-expression.

Beginners may choose from pre-designed greeting card sayings and images, while more experienced creators are welcome to design their own originals. If you are comfortable with sharing your story, this is a safe and supportive environment for communication.

Whether you join for a one-time stand-alone class or return for multiple sessions, you’ll find opportunities to connect socially, reflect quietly, or gently work through grief-related issues. Our caring instructors are not therapists but use the book Draw How You Feel by Richard Bohm. The 5-Step EMOSY Fundamentals serve as a basis to assist students in exploring and communicating inner feelings with freedom and creativity in multi-media art sessions.

Multiple types of seating options available in limited quantities. Doors open 15 minutes prior to class start time and class ends promptly at noon.

Rage Room Experience

All classes include Rage Room smashing. Students are encouraged to write, draw or doodle an image of what makes them happy or sad on the dinnerware provided. In a symbolic gesture, the item is smashed to pieces, representing happiness multiplied or riddance of ill feelings.

The Fine Print:

• Closed toe shoes required. Glass or hot solder + feet = ouch! Long pants preferred for smashing activities.

• Participants sign a Personal Injury Waiver and an Intellectual Property Waiver to attend class. Please read Waiver before your event. There will be a copy for you to sign in person at the event. Adults must sign on behalf of minor participants. Photos and/or videos of you and your project may be used for promotional purposes on social media or other platforms. If you wish to be excluded, please notify us at check in.

• Rescheduling or cancelations are only accepted up to 48 hours before the event date. No refunds will be made for part or all of the class value after the cancelation deadline. Please email us at [email protected], and we will be happy to assist you in canceling or rescheduling. There is a $10 reschedule fee per person.
