SUNDAY AFTERNOON DELIGHT 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.On the last Sunday before Christmas in 2012, in the sleepy village of Northchurch, the social centre opened its doors to what we thought would be a small gathering of dancers. What followed were years of blissful parties with almost 200 dancers crammed into a modest-sized hall. It was hot and sticky, and only a handful of parking spaces. On paper, it should not have been a success. In reality, what followed was years of beautiful dancing and an atmosphere you wanted to bottle and take home.
Eventually, we conceded that we had outgrown our home, and after careful consideration, a move to Greenwood Park seemed the obvious choice.
While switching between afternoons and evenings has meant letting the Sunday Afternoon Delight moniker slide, the spirit remains the same.
This party is special to us as it represents all that is good in the dance world. Ou thanks to everyone who has supported us, be it here or at Northchurch.
If you are new to our events here, Greenwood Park features on-site parking, a large main room, and a chill-out room, both of which play carefully curated tracks with that extraordinary something dancers crave.
The doors open at 2:45 p.m., and the music starts at 3:00 p.m. Please remember to bring your Ceroc membership card number. Bringing a water bottle will help reduce plastic waste.
