Established in 1877, the Greenwood Cemetery sits neglected and forgotten just south of Downtown St Pete, but it is one of St Pete's oldest cemeteries and is home to some interesting stories and notable residents. Join us as we give some TLC to this historic site. We are coordinating with Greenwood Cemetery's trust management and Rui Farias of the St Petersburg Museum of History to ensure that our efforts are appropriate and respectful.
Arborist Phil O'Conner and his awesome team from Arbor Wise will be donating their time and expertise to remove dangerous trees and limbs from the cemetery.
Keep Pinellas Beautiful will also be lending their tools and helping us get people together for this event.
Please tell all your friends about this great community effort! With out continued efforts, you may one day return to Greenwood Cemetery and find the prettiest historic cemetery in Tampa Bay.
