Cork Playlist 'Band of the Year', Greenshine is an RTE Folk Awards nominated trio, consisting of Mary Greene, Noel Shine and their daughter Ellie who will perform at the beautiful Áras Chrónáin in Clondalkin on Saturday 8 February. Greenshine's music straddles the boundaries of Folk, Indie and Americana with outstanding harmonies, skillful stringwork and critically acclaimed songwriting. RTE's John Creedon said of the band: "They have produced one great track after the next over the last few years." Their latest album NEW MOON ON FRIDAY was awarded "Album of the Week" on many radio stations including BBC Scotland & BBC Ulster while six singles from the collection were included on the RTE Radio 1 Recommends Lists with 'Sweet Dreams' reaching the #1 spot in the station's Airplay Chart. Noel and Mary have leant their talents to the recordings of other artists such as Christy Moore, The Republic of Loose, John Spillane and many more.
