Join Carol Aleman and Chris Clawson from the Historical Society of Greenfield as they present a new restoration of two forgotten movies, produced in Greenfield and starring our own neighbors of 100 years ago."Love's Young Dream" is a comic-drama produced at the Victoria Theater on Chapman Street (later the Showplace) and has a curious story we will tell you about in a short documentary.
The other film is a Pathé newsreel about Greenfield's first Winter Carnival in 1923.
Both films are accompanied by a Virtual Orchestra of genuine silent screen scores, written between 1916-1924. We will eventually host this online, but you must come to the theater event to enjoy the music in full, 5 channel theater surround sound stereo!
