About this Event
Green to Gold: Sustainability Pays
Five local activists open the conversation from their unique perspectives:
- Nette Compton - How a sustainable approach ushers in lower costs for towns.
- Jameson Davis - How we can impact quality of life through environmental education and enlightened policy.
- Diane Hoffman - How trees reduce energy costs and provide social wholeness.
- Eben Pariser - How we all need to throw things away, and how we can make different choices to preserve the worth of "waste".
- Brendan Smith - How current programs permit us to lower energy costs and switch to renewable sources.
Following these presentations, Hamden’s Mayor-Elect will speak about sustainability priorities and plans for the new administration.
The conversation will conclude with a moderated Q&A session where community members may submit questions for discussion.
