Transport & Address:
The minibus will be running as usual for anybody who wishes to get a lift from the Lido car park (The Rye, High Wycombe). The bus will leave at 10am promptly. Or you can meet us on site at Keep Hill Wood at 10.15am. We will meet near the bollard at the bottom of the bridleway off of Keep Hill Road/Warren Wood Drive. Free parking is available. The nearest postcode is: HP11 1DY.
We will finish at approximately 3pm.
Please can we ask everyone to arrive on time to ensure you do not miss the health & safety and task briefing. If you are late and the session has already started, you may not be able to join. Thank you.
You don't need to print off your Eventbrite ticket!
The Task:
Lots of woodland conversation tasks, come along to find out more!
Timings (please note these timings are approximate):
10.00: Minibus departs from Lido, please don’t be late!
10.15: Arrival on site for safety briefing
11.30: Tea & coffee break
13.00: Minibus arrives back at Lido, work finishes, time to go home!
What to bring:
Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task.
Long trousers are advisable as there is thorny vegetation. We also recommend wearing steel toe capped or sturdy boots rather than trainers.
Wear layers that you can remove if you get hot whilst working. Bring a waterproof as most of our sites have no shelter from the rain. If it's sunny you may need a hat and suncream
Please bring plenty of fluids. We will bring a tea kit and biscuits.
Volunteering and COVID:
Please do not attend sessions if you have tested positive for COVID or if you have COVID symptoms e.g. a new continuous cough, a high temperature, a loss of, or change in your normal sense of taste or smell.
