Transport & Address:

The minibus will be running as usual for anybody who wishes to get a lift from the Lido car park (The Rye, High Wycombe). The bus will leave at 10.00am promptly.

Alternatively meet us on site at Deangarden Wood. We will meet around 10.15am and finish at approximately 13:00. We will meet at Abbey Barn Park - Berkeley Homes site work entrance. Park immediately on the left hand side as you enter. The nearest postcode is HP10 9QQ. Please car share where possible. Please park considerately.

Please can we ask everyone to arrive on time to ensure you do not miss the health & safety and task briefing. If you are late and the session has already started, you may not be able to join. Thank you.

You don't need to print off your Eventbrite ticket!

The Task:

A task filled morning to earn that cuppa and biscuits! Come and join us and get involved with a mix of litter picking, cutting back paths, cutting and raking grass to help this chalk grassland to thrive.

Timings (please note these timings are approximate):

10.00: Minibus departs from Lido, please don’t be late!

10.15: Arrival on site for safety briefing

11.30: Tea & coffee break

13.00: Minibus arrives back at Lido, work finishes, time to go home!

What to bring:

Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task.

Long trousers are advisable as there is thorny vegetation. We also recommend wearing steel toe capped or sturdy boots rather than trainers.

Wear layers that you can remove if you get hot whilst working. Bring a waterproof as most of our sites have no shelter from the rain. If it's sunny, bring a hat and suncream.

Please bring plenty of fluids. We will bring a tea kit and biscuits.

Access: Deangarden Wood is based on the site of the old ski slope so may not be suitable for those with limited mobility or who are unsteady on their feet.

Volunteering and COVID:

Please do not attend sessions if you have tested positive for COVID or if you have COVID symptoms e.g. a new continuous cough, a high temperature, a loss of, or change in your normal sense of taste or smell.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you want to discuss anything further.
