It’s a myth that composting stops in the cold! Learn how to prep your compost for the seasonal shift into colder months in this hands-on workshop. We’ll cover how to winterize your compost bin so it can keep decomposing food scraps all season long, whether you’re aiming for a hot compost pile with speedy decomposition or a simple cold compost setup. We will also be DIY-ing a compost accelerator, so please bring your own bag or plastic container. This workshop will be instructed by Kira Hawes in collaboration with Cornell Cooperative Extension.
This workshop is FREE and open to the public. A suggested donation of $5-$10 is appreciated.
