GREEN MAN/OAK KING SCULPTURE WORKSHOPSunday 21 September 9.45 am – 5.00 pm
£130 including refreshments, lunch, all materials, use of equipment on the day, glazing, firing of piece, tutoring & certificate of completion.
This full-day group workshop with our guest figurative sculptor, Christine Pike, is suitable for those who have had some experience with smaller sculpting projects.
Make a Green Man (Woman) or Oak King (Queen) to protect your home and garden.
Christine will introduce you to different styles of Green Man sculptures and show you how to create your own individual character.
You will learn how to use various hand-building techniques to make your own unique sculpture approximately (approx. 20 cm square).
You will be offered a choice of glaze washes to enhance the beauty of your piece and give a professional finish.
The glazing and firing will be carried out by Louise (ceramicist from Blended Monkey) and we will let you know when your sculpture is ready for you to collect (please allow at least 14 days). Your piece can be posted out by arrangement.
The pieces will be made from stoneware clay - so you can display them indoors or outdoors.
This GREEN MAN / OAK KING SCULPTURE WORKSHOP will be held in the peaceful setting of our Blended Monkey studios on the Cambs/Norfolk border.
Numbers are limited to ensure you get plenty of 1-2-1 tuition.
This sculpture workshop is suitable for 14+ with under 16s accompanied by an adult.
About a week before your workshop date, we'll e-mail you again with more details about parking etc.
Refreshments will be provided throughout the day and also a lovely lunch - tailored to meet all dietary requirements.
All students will be provided with a certificate of completion.

The full-day workshop includes:
