About this Event
The Green Lunches Series will delve into topics such as energy, food security, equity and gender, smart growth, land use, transportation, materials, and emerging innovations. Through engaging speakers, panel discussions, and interactive sessions, we aim to explore the positive future envisioned by millions worldwide, with a keen focus on local perspectives and solutions.
Green Lunches are held on the second Tuesday of each month from Noon-1PM at the Athens Public Library. A free lunch made with produce from the Chesterhill Produce Auction will be provided.
Tuesday, November 12th Crissa Cummings, Excecutive Director of Athens-Hocking Recycling Centers will present on the transition from AHRC to Southeast Ohio Recycling Terminal Council of Governments & what this means for our community. With the CPA season wrapping up (the source of our lunch ingrediants), this will be the closing Green Lunch for our series. We plan to start back up in the spring time!
