Join us at one of two viewings for the full-size mock-up of the MBTA's new Green Line Type 10 light rail vehicle. Our System-Wide Accessibility (SWA) and Vehicle Engineering teams would like your feedback to help make Type 10 vehicles the most accessible yet.You can visit the mock-up, learn about Type 10 vehicle accessibility, and talk to team members about vehicle design and features. SWA representatives will be present 10 AM – 12 PM to answer questions and hear your feedback.
- About Type 10 Vehicles -
Type 10 light rail vehicles will eventually replace current Green Line vehicles. Accessibility features on the Type 10 vehicles include:
- Being 100% low-floor for easier boarding
- Four priority spaces for wheeled mobility devices
- Dynamic digital signs for visual stop announcements
- Digital signs that provide riders with real-time information on service and disruptions
- Enhanced rider intercoms and buttons for requesting bridge plates
