About this Event
You and your loved ones can have the opportunity to make amazing dreamcatchers, design and make your own tote bags, and bring language to life with paint in a special watercolour words session.
Each activity will be led by an incredibly talented artist who will take you through the skills needed to bring your ideas to life.
Each artist will be at the venue throughout, so you should be able to take part in each of these exciting sessions, or stick with one – the choice is yours!
Feel free to bring a packed lunch to enjoy with us, too.
You can also arrive early for the afternoon session to enjoy your lunch, but may not be able to start your activity until the advertised start time.
These workshops are designed for families, but anyone is welcome to come and enjoy them. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Accessibility:
Outside: The venue is not situated on a road which has a steep gradient.
There is a large car park at the back of the hall upon arrival.
The main doors open towards you (pull).
Inside: Chadwell Village Hall is a wheelchair accessible venue, with a step-free entrance including a ramp and an accessible toilet.
Motorised scooters are welcomed in public parts of the venue. Customers can charge scooters or wheelchairs at the venue.

By Train: The nearest mainline station is Grays Station (take the 83 bus to Waterson Road which is close to the venue.
By Bus: Bus Routes - 83. Nearest bus stop is Waterson Road which is close to the venue.
By Car: If arriving by car you can park in the car park at the venue. If the car park is full, please use the adjacent roads and check for on-site parking restrictions.

Charlotte Trower is a mixed media and mindfulness artist who will help you bring your dreamcatchers to life. Please feel free to bring any materials you’d like to incorporate into the design.

Local illustrator and educator Katie Carter-Leay (Katie in Colour) will help your make your own printed tote bag.
Printmaking can often seem intimidating due to the need for complicated or expensive materials and resources but we will be using affordable, accessible materials such as craft foam and handmade stamps to learn more about relief-printing processes.

Katja Rosenberg from Art Catcher London will make your words pop with their watercolour sessions. You’ll be presented with some creative typography for inspiration, and then pick a word you’d like to paint in a fun and therapeutic process.
