Green Hat Olympics - It's All Shrubs and Games - Hosted by the Sierra Silver Streaks Chapter of the Green Hat SocietyWho: Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador registered Girl Scouts as of the Fall of 2024 and their Leaders. No tag-a-longs, please. All attendees must be registered Girl Scouts.
Why: A chance for older Girl Scouts to get together for friendly competition, mental challenges, And the chance to win points for your country - Green Hat Style!
What: A camping event with other Troops participating in fun games to challenge you mentally and physically - with a Green Hat twist! You will earn points for yourself and your team's country
to earn a medal
When: Friday, October 4, 2024, check-in at 5:00 PM to Sunday, October 6, 2024, check out at noon You may arrive as early as 2:00 PM to start setting up camp
Where: Washoe Lake State Park Group Equestrian Center and Campground 4855 Eastlake Blvd, New Washoe City, NV 89704
Cost: $15.00 for Girls; $10.00 for Adults Includes - Friday and Saturday night campfire desserts, weekend activity supplies, group campsite fee, and event patch
Parking Fee - Pay at the campground entrance: $15.00 per car, per night +$2.00 for CA License, $5.00 per car for day use only
Food, Troop Supplies, and Travel: The Troop's responsibility
Registration: All registrations must be paid and postmarked by Friday, September 20, 2024, when registration will close. Register early to secure a spot! Packing list and more information will be emailed upon receipt of registration and payment.

2:00 PM - Arrive, check in, set up your campsite, eat dinner
7:00 PM - Introductions, Olympic Opening Ceremony
8:00 PM - Stargazing with Park Rangers, campfire + dessert
Saturday.........
8:30 AM - Flag ceremony, kapers
9:00 AM - Olympic games, tournaments, and competitions
12:00 PM - Lunch with your troop
1:30 PM - More Olympic trials, challenges, and silliness
3:30 PM - Troop time: bring your favorite game or make a craft
7:00 PM - Final Olympic contests and matches, campfire + dessert
Sunday.............
9:00 AM - Olympic Awards Ceremony, Scouts Own, pack up
11:00 AM - NVSP Service project, closing flag ceremony, check-out @ noon
