Get Active at the Green Flight Festival!

Curated by Javier Starks, the Green Flight Festival is a FREE event where bicyclists (electric and non-electric), skaters, and other riders and interested parties can come together for a group ride from the Lincoln Memorial to the Washington Monument followed by fun festivities at the Wharf.

The event will begin at 11am with a group ride along the National Mall and finish with an after party featuring contests, races, and group activities where Personal Electric Vehicles (PEV) riders will have an opportunity to showcase their skills. After the competition, attendees are encouraged to ride to the Wharf for a finale with live music on the floating pier stage next to Cantina Bambina. You'll have the opportunity to meet with local vendors and riders for live demonstrations and learn all about electric vehicles, including ebikes, skateboards, scooters, electric unicycles, one-wheels, and more.

The Green Flight Festival’s mission is to share the joy of personal electric vehicles with the general public by combining art, music, community, and technology into one celebration. Guests can get hands-on experience with electric vehicles that most have only seen in passing, while also meeting local vendors and companies who share a passion for sustainable practices, clean food, and alternative forms of transportation.

What are Personal Electric Vehicles (PEV)?

A personal electric vehicle transporter (also known as a personal transporter, electric rideable, personal light electric vehicle, personal mobility device, etc.) is any class of compact, motorized micro-mobility vehicle for transporting an individual at a speed of 20 mph. These vehicles are battery-driven and emit zero emissions.
