The Vegan Movement in Ōtautahi
Ōtautahi is the vegan capital of Aotearoa! From birthing New Zealand’s first vegetarian society in 1899 to being the home of the most active vegan community in Aotearoa today, there are many reasons for Ōtautahi laying claim to being the most vegan-friendly city in the country.
Come and hear Yolanda Soryl, President of the Christchurch Vegan Society/Te Rōpū Whēkana o Ōtautahi, talk about the vegan movement in our city.
