Join Green Bowie for the 7th annual Veterans Day 5k! Every year, the event brings together "green" groups, veterans groups, and groups that promote physical activity. It is a day of fusion, honoring the people around us who have served and who continue to serve, while showcasing Bowie's love for the environment and dedication to community wellness.Schedule
Event Opens: 7:30 a.m. Browse our information tables, mingle, warm up, and donate to Toys for Tots and Operation We Care.
Program start: 8:30 a.m. Pledge of Allegiance, National Anthem, Speakers, Celebration of Veterans, and a pre-race warmup.
Race start: 9 a.m. Walk or Run! Pets welcome on leash only and with waste bags.
T-shirt Supplies
Participants will receive a free T-shirt with registration (while supplies last). T-shirt pickup is available on a first-come, first-served basis and will take place the week of October 27.
