About this Event

Join Clare Graham, the Chair of our Open Spaces Committee and author of Discovering Battersea's Open Spaces: a walking guide for a fundraising walk in aid of Katherine Low Settlement (KLS). This will be a gentle, fully-accessible stroll of just under three miles on pavements or good paths. Our route will take us through Battersea Park, along the Thames Path and into the most interesting of the many smaller public spaces tucked away behind back streets. Discover their hidden highlights and learn about their history before we finish near Katherine Low Settlement. Everyone will receive a copy of Discovering Battersea’s Open Spaces.

Recognized with a Wandsworth Council Civic Award in 2023 for their work with children and families from refugee backgrounds, KLS are a long-standing partner of ours and we want to support the outstanding work of this Battersea mainstay in their centenary year. They urgently need our help to make their creaking and quirky building more accessible, sustainable and welcoming. All proceeds from the walk will be donated to their KLS 100 Building Appeal.

Meet at Christchurch Gardens (entrance off Cabul Road at Battersea Park Road).

We suggest a donation of £10 for the walk.
