About this Event
The second event in a free programme of seminar-screenings, curated by APGRD Director Pantelis Michelakis and co-curated by experienced and emergent scholars, aims to encourage reflection on all forms of interaction between antiquity and modernity as well as between screen and performance. Each screening will have a short introduction and will conclude with a post-screening discussion. Pier Paolo Pasolini's Edipo Re (1967) will be introduced by Domenico Giordani (Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford) and Daniel Whittle (Hertford College, Oxford).
Attendance is free and everyone is welcome, but booking is required. If you are able to, St Hilda's would welcome a voluntary contribution (suggested donation: £5).
All screenings will be held in the Jacqueline du Pré Music Building (JdP), St Hilda's College. The JdP has step free access. Please see the Online Access Guide for further details about the venue. Please email St Hilda's College at: [email protected] with any accessibility requirements or queries about the JdP.
Further seminars in this series will be held at 7.30pm on Monday 11 November and 18 November - details of the productions, plus the link to the Eventbrite to book a seat, will be released shortly.
