If you are in high school and studying advanced-level repertoire, apply for our Great Lakes Scholarship Competition! Accepted applicants will receive detailed feedback on their performance and may be recognized with special honors. The winner will receive a $300 cash award, and MBU music scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $3,500 will be awarded to the top performers.GENERAL INFORMATION
Age: Contestants must be advanced-level musicians in 9-12th grade.
Instruments: Piano, Voice, Strings, Brass, and Winds (only one application per person)
Level: Early Advanced to Advanced
Competition Date/Time: Friday, January 30 from 11:00-2:00 before Great Lakes Music Festival orientation (contestants arriving with their school/church will be scheduled accordingly).
Assigned Performance Times: Entrants will be notified of their assigned performance time via email on Wednesday, January 15.
Competition Performances: The competition is open to the public and competitors are strongly encouraged to listen to the other performers.
