The int/adv class features local talents Dani Darasz & Joe Mahoney, whose signature blend of warmth and technical prowess will set you up for a night of dancing fun enough to chase away any winter blues. ABOUT DANI & JOE
Dani started dancing ballet, jazz, tap, and gymnastics at 3. By 8, she focused on ballet with some jazz. In college, she discovered partner dancing, including salsa and bachata, and tried ballroom. In her mid-20s, Dani found West Coast Swing, which she now avidly competes in and teaches. Not content with just being an amazing dancer, teacher, and human, Dani also manages her own consulting firm where she supports dancers and other creative professionals in reaching their business dreams.
Joe discovered his love for dance in 1995 through country western dancing and transitioned into West Coast Swing a few years later. Early in his journey, he competed on the circuit and achieved the status of All-Star dancer. His passion for the dance community expanded into DJing, where he became a sought-after talent at national events. Joe credits his father for instilling a love of both sports and dance into him, and now he is passionate about sharing that love with the next generation of dancers. When he’s not dancing or cheering on the Red Sox, Joe travels the globe for his salt company.
