Having won every major competition in his native New Zealand, pianist Lixin Zhang is currently completing his masters studies at Yale University, USA.Lixin has been performing in lunchtime concerts with Concerts for Christchurch since he was at primary school. His debut album, released at the age of 16, topped the New Zealand classical charts for five weeks.
Now 24, Lixin is kept busy with international performances and competitions, most recently in Spain, Israel and Switzerland. He also has a strong commitment to mentoring young musicians, sharing his skills with students both here and in the United States.
