The Great Green Get Together showcases community-led sustainability initiatives in Hume, including project ideas by Hume Enviro Champions.Join in to celebrate a more sustainable and environmentally connected Hume.
For thirteen consecutive years Hume Enviro Champions have been learning about, acting for, and celebrating their environmental passions. Come along to meet other environmentally minded members of the Hume community, volunteers, organisations, and Hume City Council staff, all working to help create a more sustainable and resilient environment.
This event will be packed with information, entertainment, fun and networking including;
-Traditional Welcome to Country by Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Elder
-2023 Hume Enviro Champion project presentations
-Light supper, vegetarian catering from Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, (vegan, wheat & gluten free, onion & garlic free options catered for)
-Community sustainability showcase
-Live Music
-Lucky door prize
The Hume Enviro Champions program is a 10 session training program that builds participants capacity and provides support to community members to run environmentally themed community-led projects.
Over 170 community members have participated in the program over the years and many incredible projects have been implemented.

This event is also an opportunity to showcase other sustainability and environmental projects, programs and initiatives which are taking place in Hume.
