3 hour gravel ride for beginner and intermediate riders in the amazing rolling forests of Simlångsdalen, including a coffee and fika stop in the forest. The ride begins at Mountain Biking in Halmstad's shop in Simlångsdalen where we head off for a 95% gravel ride into the endless forests of the valley. The ride ends at Tallhöjden hotel where you can enjoy their lunch special for 125 sek.RENTAL GRAVEL BIKES AVAILABLE
55 km - 600-700 m climbing
Relaxed pace, nobody gets dropped. This is a guided event, the guide is a deltid brandmän and bike mechanic with first aid training, and first aid kit and small repair kit. Coffee and fikabröd will be awaiting you in the forest at the halfway point.
It's Sweden, it's April. It could be 20 degrees, it could be rain. Plan your clothing accordingly. There is no refund for bad weather, sorry.
What's a gravel bike? Any bike that can handle rougher roads and climbs. A minimum of 35 mm tires, disc brakes and a wide range of gears. Please don't try bringing a road bike with 30mm slicks. Mountain bikes work well.
If the group is more than 12 than there will be an additional guide so that we can ride at the right pace level.
