There has been a group request to hold a GGGW at Parramatta so here goes ....HELP THE GREAT GLOBAL GREYHOUND WALK REACH THEIR TARGET OF 12,000 SIGHT HOUNDS PARTICIPATING IN 2024!
Meet at Pavilion Flat at 9:00am. We will then do a parade around Parramatta Park before spreading out our blankets for a picnic in Murray Gardens (weather permitting).
Parking is free on Sunday and we recommend that people park as close as you can to Pavilion Flat (near the cafe in the George Street Gatehouse) as we will start and finish the walk there. If there is no parking near the cafe then there is parking in front of Government House and a public carpark next to the Pitt Street/Macquarie Street entrance. I will put a map in the comments.

What is GGGW? The Great Global Greyhound Walk is a free annual dog-walking event that brings together sighthounds and their owners to raise awareness of the breeds and show the public just what wonderful pets they make.
In 2023, around the world, there were 11,818 sighthounds across 458 walks in 36 countries! In 2024, the organisers have set a target of 12,000 sighthounds.
