Dear friends of all sighthounds, I am excited to invite you to participate in The Great Global Greyhound Walk of 2025. This is an International Walk, taking place all over the world on the 28th of September. The purpose of this walk is to bring awareness to all sighthounds and to show what wonderful companions they make. So many are in need of homes.
About THIS walk - it will take place at West Hill Dam in Uxbridge, MA. The trails at this location are wide in some areas, and narrow in others. Wear sneakers. All dogs must be on appropriate leashes - NO FLEXI LEADS ALLOWED.
There is parking available, but this location can get crowded on weekends. Plan to arrive on time so you can walk with the group.

A little history from the website:
The Great British Greyhound Walk started in 2010 as a seed of an idea and we started walking! In 2014 we ‘went global’ inviting international Sighthounds to walk - the response was amazing!
The Walk figures spoke for themselves, and we were no longer just a ‘British’ event, so we evolved in to the ‘Great Global Greyhound Walk’! We have gone from 3 countries being involved in 2010, to 42 countries in 2024!
The Great Global Greyhound Walk is an annual dog-walking event that brings together sighthounds and their owners to raise awareness of the breeds and show the public just what wonderful pets they make.
The aim is to bring owners together regardless of where their hound is from, to celebrate sighthounds, to raise awareness of hounds in need and to promote sighthounds as pets in a BIG way.
The event primarily involves hundreds of organised ‘walks’, across the globe, that all take place on the same day. All walks are free to attend and are open to everybody, whether they are a sighthound owner or not.
The Great Global Greyhound Walk is a project of Greyhound Walks, a group of greyhound and lurcher owners who walk most weekends in Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk and Hertfordshire.
