The Friends of the Alison Baird Reserve and the Save the Great Brixton Wetlands Community cordially invite you to visit the HEART of the Greater Brixton St Wetlands. Help us control some weeds, bring a picnic morning tea to share and enjoy a relaxing guided flora walk afterwards! The Alison Baird Reserve is a unique place that belongs to the University of Western Australia. With about 440 native flora species (and counting) in this wonderful 35 hectare reserve, many generations of UWA Botany students have fallen in love here with the flora of the famous South West WA Global Biodiversity Hotspot. New species are still being discovered here and many other research projects are also blooming! In any case, Alison Baird Reserve in spring is always a delight to just visit and ENJOY (and pull some weeds too).Participant numbers will be limited (and no pets please) as conservation is our top priority at this Free Event. Please PM to Hans Lambers for more information.
