Great Backyard Bird Count

Join Park Rangers and local birders for the annual Great Backyard Bird Count! The Great Backyard Bird Count is a global community science event that began in 1998 where participants count and document the birds they see in their communities. These observations help scientists better understand global bird populations before one of their annual migrations. No experience is necessary, and you will be guided by experts! Beginners welcome, and there will be hot cocoa and a limited number of binoculars provided at the Visitor Center.
