NEW LOCATION FOR THIS YEAR: 900 S. Greenville, Allen Municipal Service CenterThis convenient event allows Allen solid waste utility customers one-stop disposal of accepted items for recycling and donations.
To participate, you must bring:
✅ Your current City of Allen utility bill, placed in your windshield for easy viewing
✅ Your driver's license with an address that matches the one on your bill
When you arrive at the event, please stay in your vehicle. Staff will unload your items for you. Pack similar items together to reduce the amount of time staff spend sorting.
Accepted items for Great American Cleanup:
🐶 Animal donations: Pet products, toys & carriers, unexpired pet food, supplements & medical dips, laundry detergent & towels.
🚲 Bicycle donations: bicycles, tricycles and bike accessories
👟 Shoe donations: all types of shoes/footwear accepted
💻 ELECTRONICS RECYCLING: Participants are responsible for removing all data from devices prior to disposal. No “tube” or rear-projection TVs or CRT computer monitors. Laptops & tablets, printers & ink cartridges, copy/fax machines, answering machines, flat-screen TVs & computer monitors and computer towers & accessories.
📦 CARDBOARD BOXES: Clean, empty, flattened cardboard boxes only.
📄 PAPER FOR SHREDDING: Limit 5 file-sized boxes or kitchen-sized (12-16 gallon) plastic trash bags. Remove all binders and clips before disposal.
💊 MEDICATION DISPOSAL: Dispose anonymously in the drive-thru drop-off. Prescription & non-prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications and sharps.
