The Christmas Cracker is Back!Friday, 29th November, 5pm–7pm
Greasley Sports and Community Centre, Newthorpe
Join us for an evening of festive fun and entertainment as we kick off the Christmas season with our much-loved annual event—The Christmas Cracker! This year, more than ever, we are committed to providing a free or low-cost family event, especially as many face financial challenges in 2024.
What’s in Store?
-Meet Santa: The first 100 children will receive a free gift from Santa in his grotto. Our gifts are most suitable for children under 7, but can add to the 'library' of any child this Christmas time.
-Living Christmas Tree: For the first time, our new living Christmas Tree will be beautifully adorned, and festivities will spill out into the grounds of the GSCC.
-Outdoor Fun: Enjoy stalls, games, and small kids’ fairground rides. Local crafters and businesses will showcase unique Christmas gifts, while community groups raise funds for local charities.
-Delicious Food: Indulge in mouth-watering hot food from Revving Chef BBQ and Al’s Munch or explore a variety of savoury and sweet treat stalls

-Children’s Face Painting & Glitter Tattoos
-Magic Shows & Balloon Modelling
-Young Children's Funfair on the hard standing, with hot chocolate and sweet treats available for purchase.
Live Performances
-Greasley Beauvale Primary School Choir will bring their wonderful voices to the stage.
-Nicole Hannah will perform festive favourites to get everyone in the holiday spirit.
-NOWMADs will be hitting the stage for a 20 minute festive set.
-Hucknall & Linby Brass Band will provide heart-warming Christmas carols both near the tree and on stage throughout the evening.
Grand Finale
At 6:55 pm, join us for the light switch-on countdown, followed by a spectacular low-noise firework display to end the night on a high note!
