Good girl Sandy Olsson and greaser Danny Zuko fell in love over the summer. They unexpectedly discover they're now in the same high school.
A musical about teens in love in the 1950s. It's California 1958 and greaser Danny Zuko (John Travolta) and Australian Sandy Olsson (Olivia Newton-John) are in love. They spend time at the beach, and when they go back to school, what neither of them knows is that they both now attend Rydell High. Danny's the leader of the T-Birds, a group of black leather jacket-wearing greasers while Sandy hangs with the Pink Ladies, a group of pink-wearing girls led by Rizzo (Stockard Channing). When they clash at Rydell's first pep rally, Danny isn't the same Danny from the beach. They try to be like each other so they can be together.

Speed
Always keep your speed to an absolute maximum of 10mph in the estate and 5mph when you enter the arena (after your ticket is scanned)
Tickets
Tickets will be checked on site before you enter the arena, ask the member of staff if you’re interested in an upgrade. Please make sure you bought the right ticket for the amount of passengers in your car.
Display
At the Great British Drive In films are played on the huge 100 sqm screen. For live entertainment such as music or comedy we film the acts on the stage and display them on the screen.
Sound
Audio is sent out over FM transmitters to your radio. All you’ve got to tune your car radio to 87.7FM. At times we play the sound at a low level from our stage, this shouldn’t be a substitute for a radio. If you want the best experience please either tune your car radio or bring a personal radio.
In very rare circumstances there can be a delay between audio and video due to the specific manufacturer of the vehicle. In this situation, please speak to a member of the team.
Parking
Our site allows everyone a clear view of the screen and we make sure everyone has plenty of space around them. In busier shows we may ask larger cars to park slightly further back to allow everyone a great view. If you would like to sit in your boot, that is ok, but given the height of boots you will be placed towards the back of site on busier shows. Please always, always, tell a member of staff if you aren’t happy with your view.
Sitting outside your car
Please feel free to set up seats outside your car, just always tell the staff member who’s parking you so they can leave enough room out the front (you must sit outside the front of the car).
Please also make sure you have a portable radio. It is important to note, this is a drive in cinema experience and sound is played by the individual speaker system of each guest’s car/portable radio, therefore if you sit outside your car you may experience some sound delay around the arena.
Getting out your car
We encourage guests to get out of their car and enjoy the grounds or visit the food and drinks vendors, just always be mindful of other guests and maintain social distancing.
Keep your children close by and they must remain in your bubble at all times. Children must be supervised at all times, there is a large amount of vehicle movement and live animals onsite.
Bar
For all our events we have a fully stocked bar, including beer from local brew house Freedom Brewery, a large selection of ready to drink cans and wine (even some cocktails). We also have a great selection of soft drinks, sweets, chocolate and of course ice cream.
Food
We will always have food available at our events from Digbeth Dining Club and will provide our delicious wood fired pizza .
Please check our socials for specific DDC traders on your shows.
Queues
Please follow onsite directions for queueing and help us to maintain social distancing by always being mindful of other guests.
Please follow all instructions from The GBDI Team, we’re just here to help (:
Toilets
We have portaloos onsite that are cleaned on a regular basis; all include hand sanitizer.
During the movie
If you have any issues at all please put your hazard lights on and someone will come to your car. In the rare situation no one comes please visit our bar who will radio the relevant person. If you need to leave during the movie that’s fine, just let us guide you out. If you know you may need to leave early tell us before you park and we can put you closer to the exit road.
Rubbish
Please help us by putting all your rubbish in the bags provided, or even better, take it with you.
Exiting
When the film is finished always remain where you are until staff guide you out. Please always remember to be careful when exiting and cautious entering the dual carriageway.
Bad weather
As guests you can sit safely inside your car and enjoy the film or entertainment in adverse weather. However, under extreme weather conditions including very bad lightning storms, we may have to turn our equipment off while the weather passes.
