We are gutted to announce that Jay will not have recovered in time to make it to the UK this summer. We are grateful that he is doing as well as he is, and look forward to hopefully sharing a new date with you for next summer soon! We couldn’t let this year go by without giving more people a chance to get into GRC, and are excited to share that we will be running a 3 day GRC Dogsports Workshop 30th August - 1st September. The workshop will be run by SR Judge and GRC competitor Linnea Lyckberg PhD IACP-CDT, and she will be assisted by Gregor Schmatz TWC certified and by prospective judge and founding member for GRC Fife Jodie Harper. All profits from the workshop will go towards equipment for the club.
? DAY 1: Building motivation and levelling up your play, teaching the exercises, and training strategies for the Social Responsibility Test. We will also be covering the creation and history of the sport, and things to keep in mind if you want to start your own club.
? DAY 2: Spring Pole and Slat Mill
? DAY 3: Wall Climb and Weight Pull
? We will cover the rules and competition structure for each of the drive sports and levels, discuss how to structure your training plan and give all dogs a chance to run through them.
The workshop will be held outside Edinburgh and run from 9am-6pm. Working spots are £290 and spectator spots £120.
