Join Graycliff Head Gardener, Emma Hahn, for a special Peony Arrangement Workshop & Open House Tour on Sunday, June 9th, at 1pm, where you’ll create a floral arrangement featuring Peonies that captures both the ephemeral beauty of these spectacular blooms and the peak Spring moment in the Graycliff gardens! Emma will teach the group floral arranging basics and how to select flowers for a balanced bouquet. She will also cover how and when to harvest and condition flowers for extended vase life and peak beauty. Participants will each cut floral material from the gardens and combine it with precut material from around the grounds to make a unique and expressive take-home arrangement.Following your workshop, you'll enjoy our Open House tour of the property. This self-guided tour will allow you to experience the gardens, grounds, and first floor of the Isabelle R. Martin House at your own pace. You are invited to linger, reflect, look closer, and soak in all the details that make Graycliff so enchanting. Volunteers will be on hand to answer questions about the property, Wright, the Martin Family, and more.
Each workshop is limited to no more than 12 guests and costs $55 per guest, which includes all supplies and handcrafting of a freshly picked spring bouquet, and your Open House tour. Only guests 12 and up will be admitted for this workshop.
Part of the workshop and tour will take place outside, please dress appropriately for the weather.
