About this Event
As September comes to a close, Bhante Rahula was inspired by the Harvest full moon – the name of the full moon in September – to have a gratitude and metta sound healing session. The full moon is deeply important in Buddhist countries.
On full and new moon days each month, Sangha members come to the temple and receive blessings, meditate, present offerings to the Buddha, and express gratitude to all. September’s Harvest moon is a symbol of the end of the harvest season, a time when crops are gathered and stored for the coming winter. It is also a time to give thanks for the bounty and abundance of the earth.
To Bhante Rahula, we are constantly planting seeds in this field we call life. We sow the seeds and are constantly growing. It is time for us to reflect on our growth, and lean into a practice of gratitude.
By incorporating sound healing, ancient Buddhist chanting, and loving kindness meditation, we can achieve this on a deep level by setting good intentions, and manifesting our positive thoughts.
We hope you can make it to this healing event – one that will certainly bring in the spirit of fall. Please bring a yoga mat, blanket, or something comfortable to sit on.
We recommend that you arrive 15 minutes early to find a suitable spot to set up. Tickets are $40. We encourage you to purchase tickets in advance as we often sell out!
Bhante Rahula is a certified sound healer, Buddhist monk of over 30 years, and resident monastic of Blue Lotus Buddhist Temple.
