Join us for an engaging talk by Cory Ritterbusch, restoration ecologist, landscape designer, planner, and former archivist for the Chicago Academy of Sciences.This program explores the history of Gratiot’s Grove, a short-lived but significant early mining settlement located south of Shullsburg, Wisconsin. Though active for only a brief period, Gratiot’s Grove played an outsized role in the development of lead mining and frontier life in the Upper Mississippi Valley.
