Grateful Phish Heads formed in 2023 in Kansas City to honor the musical legacies of the Grateful Dead, Phish, and Talking Heads. While respecting each band's catalogues, GPH ferociously reimages the songs and pushes improvisational passages into a sonic space that is distinctive and personal. The band is meticulous in their dissection of the respective songbooks, while avoiding being overly referential. Exploring both the delicate and aggressive edges of the music, GPH's fearless approach leaves themselves open for true spontaneity and psychedelia. Grateful Phish Heads is made up of William Andrew (Guitar / Vocals), Trey Green (Bass / Vocals), Ben Hutchinson (Keys / Vocals), Andy Launder (Guitar / Vocals), and Evan Verploegh (Drums)
