Grateful Fred is delighted to welcome two of America's leading young musicians, Amy Alvey and Mark Kilianski of the wonderful "Golden Shoals".Exceptional USA duo Golden Shoals blend old-time Appalachian traditions with fine original songwriting and excellent musicianship on acoustic guitar, fiddle and banjo. They combine Americana, bluegrass, folk, jazz and more, blending traditional and contemporary influences to great effect.
Amy Alvey and Mark Kilianski formed their musical partnership backin 2013 in Boston, where they both studied at the prestigious Berklee College of Music.Formerly known as Hoot & Holler, "Golden Shoals" have released an EP and two albums to date, and have toured extensively across the USA, Canada, Australia, Germany and the UK.
They’ve also taken their blend of foot-stomping traditional tunes and memorable originalsongs to many festivals including Blackpot in Louisiana, Americanafest in Nashville and Omagh Bluegrass Festival in Northern Ireland.
