Welcome to the Christie Pitts Wellness Jam brought to you by the Grateful Den! Breathing, stretching and jamming for a good cause
About this Event

We are looking to launch a social wellness club in Toronto! A place where people can find like minded community, work/play, invest in their wellness and feel like the highest and best version of themselves.

As we look to secure a physical space, we are hosting a series of events to provide a glimpse of the Grateful Den experience. This is our first event and we are donating all proceeds to the Canadian Wildfire Relief Fund - https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/canada-wildfire-relief-fund/.

Without nature we have nothing so we feel it is our duty to support where we can, especially as we face our worst wildfire season in history.

The event schedule will be as follows:

12:00 pm - Welcome and registration

12:30 pm - Breathwork and guitar yoga class with Kelly Beker and Rich Grossman (Bring your own mat)

1:45 pm -Tea, snacks and frisbee supplied by Honest Leaf and the Living Kitchen

About the practitioners:

Kelly Beker - Kelly has been practicing yoga for over a decade, and is a certified Yoga Alliance Hatha/Vinyasa instructor. After training in India and Mexico, Kelly combines her passion for yoga, meditation, kundalini, tantra, philanthropy and plant medicine to create soul-fueling, mind-body, experiences

Rich Grossman - Rich is a Toronto born musician who fell for yoga in 2009 when he was led to Modo North York by a friend. In 2012, after an eye-opening retreat in Costa Rica, he decided to pursue his Modo Level 1 teacher training. Since then he completed the Modo Flow training in 2015 and continues to teach at a number of studios in the Toronto area. You can catch Rich playing guitar with one of his many bands around Toronto and across the whole country. Ask him about it!

About our suppliers:

Living Kitchen - The Living Kitchen began in 2010 in Toronto, Canada. Since 2010 they've been cooking, planning menus, creating recipes and working intimately with people to elevate their health, recover from illnesses, adjust their diets, and make powerful changes in their lives. Their first cookbook, The Living Kitchen, was published by Appetite by Random House, in January 2019. They are currently working on their second cookbook and can’t wait to share it with you!

Honest Leaf - The Honest Leaf story began in the winter of 2012 when Shelby put together holiday tea gift baskets for friends and family. Her mission was to give the gift of warmth and good health during the holiday season. In the months following, Shelby decided to take her passion for health and wellness and combine it with her love for tea. She created a line of wellness teas that specifically targeted various systems in the body, focusing on detoxification, digestion, relaxation, energy, balancing blood sugar, and immune health.
