*YOGA NIDRĀ is a guided meditation technique that induces a profound state of calm in the physical and energy body, and a sleep-like state in the mind. It is practiced lying down in a supine position, with a focus on conscious breathing, systematic relaxation of the body part-by-part, potent visualisations, and empowering affirmations. It’s effective in reducing stress and anxiety, improving quality of sleep, regulating emotions, enhancing clarity of mind, improving memory, and inducing creativity.
🛌 PREPARING FOR THE EVENT:
What to Bring -
- Loose, comfortable clothing that feels like a gentle hug
- Your favorite yoga mat to ground yourself
- Two soft blankets (one for extra support, one to wrap yourself in warmth and comfort)
- A small pillow to cradle your head
- A bolster (if you need lower back support)
- An eye pillow or covering to help you dive into deep relaxation
Other Considerations -
- No previous Yoga Nidrā experience is required to take part in this gathering
- If you use reading glasses, please bring them with you, as we will engage in some light reading during the session
- Eat lightly prior to the session to remain comfortable.
- Arrive at least 10 minutes early to settle in and acclimatize to the serene environment of our gathering.
