About this Event

Studies have shown that spending just 20 minutes in nature can help to reduce stress and anxiety whilst promoting positive feelings in the mind. But as access to green space grows ever harder in our society, studies have also shown that simply viewing images of nature can have similar positive effects.

Having explored the research behind how our brains respond to aesthetic experiences, artist Lee Baker presented his findings at both D&AD Festival and DesignMarch Iceland just last year - and now's your chance to hear this unique talk in Brighton.

One half of Graphic Rewilding and Co-Founder of SKIP Gallery, Lee, will be joining us at Helm on 9th May to discuss how images of nature can help to boost positivity and reduce levels of stress in the brain.

IRS UPON IRIS UPON ISIS - an exhibition by Graphic Rewilding - is on show at Helm between 25th April and 12th May, encouraging visitors to immerse themselves in nature and feel how it may alter their mood.

Hack Your Happiness will take place in our exhibition hall, giving you the opportunity to view the artwork on show. There will also be a Q+A session after the talk.
