Writing, AP style, and media relations are essential skills for any successful public relations professional – but in today’s increasingly digital world, they’re no longer enough on their own. As communications continue to shift toward digital-first platforms, public relations pros must also know how to effectively use visual tools, including basic graphic design principles, to create compelling content.
From social media graphics and email newsletters to brochures and end-of-year reports, design has become a key part of the modern public relations role.
Join the Racquet Sports Professionals Association’s Graphic Design Specialist, Sara Schetritt, for a fun, collaborative session covering foundational graphic design principles tailored specifically for social media content. Be ready to call out answers, collaborate with peers, and learn in an open, supportive environment. This session will provide practical tools you can rely on when you’re short on ideas or working without a designer. The program will conclude with a Q&A and, if time permits, a group-led analysis of a brand’s website or social media presence.
Sara Schetritt is a graphic designer from Miami, Florida, currently based in Orlando. She is a graduate of the University of Central Florida, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Emerging Media with a specialization in Graphic Design and a minor in Business. Sara currently serves as the sole in-house graphic designer for the Racquet Sports Professionals Association, creating everything from social media content to magazines. She is passionate about design, analysis, and helping others feel more confident using visual communication tools.
