Grapevine Wine Tasting - Italian White Wine

The wine tasted at the January meeting of the Grapevine was Sangiovese. Most of the wines sampled were from Italy.  The enthusiastic response to these wines caused the group to recommend that our next tasting at the Berkeley City Club at 7pm on March 12 feature any Italian white wine. So, bring any white wine from Italy and let’s see what discoveries we can find! 

Practically every region of Italy produces white wine, so your choices are almost limitless.  Also they tend to be modestly priced. This is a tasting to test your bargain hunting!

As a reminder, the  tastings follow a familiar format. Each person (not each couple) will bring a bottle of the featured wine to the tastings. Wine glasses, tableware, bread, cheese, and wine tasting sheets will be provided by the Club in exchange for a fee of $20 for members and $25 for non-members. Attendees will be seated at tables of five to six people. You are welcome to specify if you wish to sit with friends. Often those requests can be accommodated.
