About this Event
Are you feeling the weight of financial stress? I invite you to step away from the noise and pressure of being stuck in the problem and walk with me along the frozen lake at Harlem Meer — a space where you can slow down, breathe, and begin seeing new possibilities.
As we walk, I’ll share how U.S. government grant programs can provide debt-free financial relief for you, your family, or your business — and why this work has become so personal to me.
Back in 2021 during COVID, my business collapsed, and my late husband, Angel and I struggled to keep up with rent and bills. The day before Thanksgiving a process server came to my door with a rent demand for $5400 — a moment that changed everything. I turned to grants to help protect my family and stabilize our future.
After receiving my first grant, I began creating courses and teaching others how to access the same support. Just two days before Angel and I were planning to move into a new home, he died of a heart attack. Grief and depression consumed me.
A tsunami of loss that followed was financially devastating. It was my knowledge of grants — and the strength I built through adversity — that helped me begin rebuilding my life.
Today, helping others move through financial challenges with clarity, dignity, and practical tools isn’t just something I teach — it’s a calling I carry forward with a fire in my belly.
This isn’t just a workshop; it’s a guided empowerment experience where practical financial education meets self-compassion, community, and forward movement — one step at a time.
My husband's death taught me that financial advocacy is part of self-love. If life has knocked you down financially, there are programs available to help you rise again — and on this walk, I’ll teach you how to find them.
