Workshop Description:
In this interactive workshop, we will review the basic components of applying for grants, including identifying opportunities, the types of grants out there, how to submit a competitive application, how the grant review process typically works, and what happens once you receive a grant. Participants will learn about the components of grant applications, and get tips on writing compelling project descriptions, creating a budget, fine tuning your artist statement and resume or bio to support your application, and putting together work samples. The workshop is designed to demystify the grant review process, help you overcome barriers to applying for grants, and learn collaboratively with other artists. Artists from all disciplines and backgrounds are welcome.
