Program
This workshop is a space for encouragement, advice, and perspective on the process of proposal writing. It is also an opportunity to understand and discuss the nature of contemporary philanthropy and collectively envision a utopian future in the culture industry. Attendees will walk away from the workshop with some useful writing, editing, budgeting, and research skills as well as a broader perspective on the role grants play in upholding White supremacy, capitalism, and other systems of oppression. Together we will discuss existing alternative approaches to philanthropy and spend time together envisioning a utopian future for wealth and art.
Deidre Huckabay is a fundraising professional with eight years’ experience in proposal writing in arts and culture.
