Grant Writing: 2026 Workshop Series for Musicians
Are you an artist preparing a grant application and unsure of how to present a compelling narrative?
This FREE workshop will provide:
- Guidance on finding funder alignment;
- Strategies for determining what to include in your project narrative;
- An opportunity for peer-to-peer feedback on your current project proposal draft.
Led by David Blazevich, Executive Director of the Fleishhacker Foundation, the session offers practical guidance on shaping project descriptions and communicating artistic vision in ways that resonate with funders.
David Blazevich is the Executive Director of the Fleishhacker Foundation in San Francisco. Founded in 1947 by prominent business leader and philanthropist Mortimer Fleishhacker Sr., the Fleishhacker Foundation supports small to mid-sized arts organizations, the Eureka Fellowship Program for visual artists, and social justice initiatives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
NOTE: Attendees are highly encouraged to bring works-in-progress and a way to make real-time edits - either on a digital device or hardcopy. Common App templates are available on the InterMusic SF website 2026 Musical Grant Program opportunity page. Please bring a ~400 word PROJECT NARRATIVE draft.
