The Grant County Outdoor Sports Alliance has set the date for the 2025 Annual Outdoor Skills Day at Southwest Wisconsin Technical College in Fennimore. This year, the event will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 10:00 am to 3 pm. This event is a great way to try your hand at casting and fly casting, fly-tying, BB gun and archery shooting, outdoor skills knowledge tests, waterfowl and turkey calling and learn more about taxidermy, forestry and prairie management, trapping and fur-bearers, kids outdoor challenge course, kids bow-fishing, astronomy, flint-knapping and other great activities. In addition, there will be several seminars throughout the day on such topics as falconry, pointing and tracking and retrieving dogs, waterfowl hunting on the Mississippi River, Wild Game Cooking, Introduction to Hunter Safety, and Bird Watching. In the upcoming days, we will provide more information on each of these stations. Put the date on your calendar and plan on attending this fun and educational event.
