We’re rounding up Granny Squares to make Blankets for Cheshire Medical’s new child abuse clinic. This is a perfect opportunity to learn to crochet while helping out your community. Mill Hollow Works Instructor’s will be teaching how to make Granny Squares FOR FREE the last 3 Sundays in January. Come back on additional Sundays to learn how to connect the squares into a blanket. Do you already know how to crochet? Come and collect our Granny Square pattern and yarn kit to make squares at home for donation. “Cheshire Medical Center will be opening a new child abuse clinic next year. This will fill a significant gap in the care of children within our region. To bring them comfort and a sense of safety, we are seeking donations of new, handmade blankets—small tokens of warmth to use during their exam and take home with them afterwards. Each blanket given to a child will serve as a tangible reminder that they are cared for and not alone.”
We will be working out of United Church of Christ in Keene, Room 202, Second Floor, End of the Hall. 1 – 4pm.
